GENI's course is designed specifically for general site workers, such as general laborers, equipment operators, and supervisory personnel who are actively engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities that might expose them or potentially expose workers to hazardous substances and health hazards. It’s especially suitable for those who are required to fulfill the 40-hour training criteria. This course is also known as the General Site Worker 40 Hour Course.

GENI’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response course is structured to meet the preliminary training demands for general site workers as laid out in 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3) and 8 CCR 5192 (e)(3). The comprehensive 40-hour curriculum, spread over five days, offers a blend of live instruction, hands-on demonstrations, interactive videos, and practical exercises, all oriented towards topics crucial for general site workers. As stated by the standard 1910.120(e)(3)(i), general site workers such as equipment operators, general laborers, and supervisory staff, when engaged in hazardous substance removal or similar activities, must obtain a minimum of 40 hours of off-site instruction. This program not only provides essential theoretical knowledge but also incorporates practical, hands-on training sessions to ensure learning.
