Description

This training is intended to give new miners the knowledge necessary to work safely and understand health hazards involved in underground mining. Upon completion of this course, students will receive the MSHA 5000-23 form.

MSHA Site-Specific Requirements

This course satisfies of 32-hours of the 40 required training hours. Task and hazard awareness training will not be included in the training session because of student diversity. The site-specific training is required to be conducted at the mine site according to the mine operator's training plan. This will comprise the remaining eight hours of required training for underground miners.
